Sound locates us in relation to where we are and to other people and things. It affects how we move and navigate the spatial environment we are part of. Listening (deep and light) and hearing (through ear and skin) are a part of dancing and understanding rhythm and direction and the all-around space. The week explores this relation between dance and audio, between sonic and spatial. We will be tuning in with deep listening tasks (inspired by Pauline Oliveiros) and movement exploration. We will use low-tech field recording and editing to create spatial sound environments that invite dancing. Anyone with an interest in dance, audio and spatiality is welcome to join.
